Judicial History
Term 3 (2027 - 2032)
In 2026, Judge Stacy was unopposed for re-election to the Florida 18th Judicial Circuit Court, Group 19. Her third term will run from 2027 through 2032.
Term 2 (2021 - 2026)
In 2020, Judge Stacy was again elected Circuit Judge by the citizens of Brevard and Seminole Counties.
Term 1 (2015 - 2020)
In 2014, Judge Stacy was elected Circuit Judge by the citizens of Brevard and Seminole Counties (winning by a wide margin).
Presided over criminal cases in the Juvenile Division, which includes Probate, Guardianship and Mental Health for 2.5 years and worked with the Department of Children and Families on Child Welfare Issues.
For over 10 years, continues to serve families, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, as well as corporate entities in the Civil/Family Division determining issues relating to medical malpractice, wrongful death, real estate, personal injury, divorce, paternity, child support, and other issues relating to the best interest of the child.
Appointed Judicial Mentor by the Florida Supreme Court in the position of teaching and mentoring new judges, committing her stewardship for a year or more as they adjust to their new role in the law.
Has served as Administrative Judge for Civil Division and Jury Management Judge for the past four years.
Served 4 years as the Professionalism & Ethics Representative for the 18th Judicial Circuit Seminole County.
Awarded the “Above and Beyond Award” by Child Advocacy Group.
Judge Stacy has mentored dozens of students interested in the law and continues to preside over Mock Trials to encourage participation and interest in law and advocacy.
Professional History
Susan Stacy began her career in Education serving as a Recruiter, Counselor, and Administrator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She continued her career in Human Resource Administration and Labor Relations, working at several multi-national corporations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Arizona.
As a capstone to her career serving the public, she worked as an attorney at and for a number of law firms and corporations providing legal services to individuals and corporate entities including Stenstrom, McIntosh Law Firm, and evenutally her own firm, Susan W. Stacy, PL.
